Following through three different perspectives consisting of Antonina “Nina” Beaulieu, the carefree country girl, Hector Auvray, the performer still deep in love with a girl he cannot have, and Valérie Beaulieu, Nina’s step-cousin trying her best and worst to keep Nina afloat in a world she does not belong. Reading through the eyes of three different characters brings the world to life in a way one character’s perspective couldn’t. I absolutely love this book and have even gone back and reread it because of the amazing writing style and storyline. This book is on my must-read list.
