The County of Prince Edward Public Library is pleased to announce that our “Community Space for Everyone” project was selected for My Main Street Community Activator support to enhance the outdoor space of the library.
As Picton grows as a community, there is a growing need for a centralized gathering space. The Public Library, facing Picton’s main street, offers the perfect setting to establish ‘place’ in our community. The Community Space for Everyone project will support placemaking infrastructure including children’s active play features, landscaping and furniture, and will bring musicians and performers to enliven the front lawn to build an attractive community space on Main Street.
