The statue of Sir John A. MacDonald will soon be established in front of the Picton Branch Library. We will be offering a series that will give historical context to our first Prime Minister that reflects his legacy in the spirit of Truth and Reconciliation. We welcome as our first speaker Dr. Niigaan Sinclair of the Anishinaabe people, son of Dr. Murray Sinclair, Chairman of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission. Niigaan is an associate professor at the University of Manitoba teaching courses in Indigenous literatures, cultures, histories and politics. Click HERE to register for this free event.
